Why This Site Exists
Robeson County has more than one custody system in the Lumberton area. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office operates the local Detention Center for people arrested or held locally. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction operates Lumberton Correctional Institution for sentenced state prisoners and the Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation Center for certain supervision violators. Federal and immigration custody use still other tools. A person may move from one system to another, so one search box or one phone number is not always enough.
This site is meant to reduce that confusion. It gathers public roster paths, facility names, contact points, court record routes, visitation notes, and records-request context in one local reference. North Carolina public records law makes many public agency records available, but it does not make every jail, court, prison, or investigative record appear in one place.
What Is Included
The Robeson pages focus on the public steps a reader can take before calling or visiting an agency.
- Help using jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- Facility pages for the Robeson County Sheriff's Office Detention Center, Lumberton Correctional Institution, and Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation Center.
- Plain-language distinctions between the county jail roster, North Carolina state offender search, VINELink, BOP, and ICE locator tools.
- Local notes from the Robeson research, including the sheriff's P2C warnings about fast-changing bond data and discretionary roster exclusions.
What We Cannot Do
Robeson County Inmate Population is privately run. It is not connected to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, the Detention Center, the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, the courts, or any federal agency. The site cannot act for an agency and cannot make an official custody decision.
- We cannot release, hold, transfer, or classify any person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, set bond conditions, schedule visits, send money, or change jail account balances.
- We cannot provide legal advice or tell a person how to answer a criminal charge.
- We cannot guarantee that a roster entry, address, phone number, fee, or rule is current at the moment you read it.
Only the office that created or controls a record can confirm current custody status, release, charges, bond, or access rules.
Search Partners
Some pages may include search boxes or public-record tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers control their own search results, prices, subscriptions, data handling, and cancellation terms. If a visitor chooses a paid partner tool after using this site, Robeson County Inmate Population may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the local reference pages available, but it does not make the partner results official and does not give this site control over the partner service.
